Welcome to the August Inter-Broadcast!
Welcome to our newest Inter-Member, Hirioke Watanabe from the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Adelaide (JCCI). Existing member of Intersect, Yoshiya from YT Legal, is on the board.
The Chamber is being established in Adelaide to further develop the strong ties between Japan and South Australia, aimed at focusing on tourism, renewable energy and space.
Pictured above is the launch event that happened recently at Adelaide Oval. Welcome to Intersect, Hirioke!
As Adelaide starts to wriggle out of it’s winter slumber, we have a few ideas to get you and the family out and about.
The Resilience Project
The Resilience Project’s Hugh van Cuylenberg is back in Adelaide this August. Teaching his viewers about positive mental health strategies to help them become happier and resilient, be sure to book your tickets and secure your spot for this year’s event!
Extra Chicken Salt
Yes, it tastes as good as it sounds! Recently, Inter-member Kate from The Huddle hosted a function at Extra Chicken Salt. Marg being an attendee at the lunch could not stop raving about it afterwards… so naturally, we had to share with the rest of our members!
The Intersect community hit the pavement earlier this month for Walk a Mile. This initiative aims to raise much needed funds and awareness for homeless in SA. Together, we raised $515 for Walk a Mile. A big thank you to those that participated and donated!
We have added brand new monitors to all Touchdown desks this month. This means you will be able to comfortably work from our Touchdown desks with both your laptop and a second screen for productive working. All monitors come with a HDMI cord for connecting to your personal screen.
Recipe of the Month!
Sink into the last month of Winter with some orecchiette…
Featuring the ever-growing in popularity ‘nduja and broccoli rabe, this recipe is sure to see you through to the end of the coldest month of the year.
A quick note…
Did you know that the use of a defibrillator within the first few minutes of cardiac arrest increases the chance of survival to over 70%.
A friendly reminder to all our members that our first-aid amenities and defibrillator are located by our Concierge desk, behind the pod. If you ever take any supplies from the first aid, please notify Concierge so we can replace as needed.
